Ciao! Welcome to Italy.

Once you have cleared all customs procedures in Venice, please keep a lookout for your private water taxi with English speaking captain who will chauffeur you to Venice city centre.

Indulgence travellers will enjoy VIP arrival assistance, where they will be accompanied by an English-speaking airport assistant who will accompany them to meet their private water taxi and English-speaking captain.

Once checked in, the remaining day is at your leisure.

Day 2

Venice by gondola

Comfort travellers will enjoy a private gondola ride for 30 minutes, a must for all first-timers and the quintessential means of transport in the city. Later, enjoy the Venice city sights at your own pace; from its picturesque bridges and piazzas to its churches and grand architecture, there are tons of free things to do in Venice for all ages and interests.

Deluxe and Indulgence travellers will enjoy a private gondola ride and also discover some of Venice’s hidden streets and squares off the standard tourist trail. Embrace the invisible soul of this fantastic city, the anecdotes of its daily life, both past and present, and the secrets and the magic of this ancient water city. Indulgence travellers will be treated to an upgraded gondola with a private singer and an accordionist.

Day 3

Venice Highlights

After a good night’s rest, start your day with your private English-speaking guide who will take you to the Doge’s Palace, the seat of government of the Republic personal Doge’s private residence. Continue on to the Palace Halls of Government and Justice, the private apartments of the Doge, prisons, and the very famous Bridge of Sighs.

Next, skip the line and continue to the Basilica, where the body of St. Mark the Evangelist lies. Admire the wonderful golden mosaics depicting stories from the Old and New Testaments before admiring the magnificent views of St. Mark’s Square and its monuments.

Venice - Florence

After breakfast, meet your private English-speaking water taxi chauffeur and transfer to the Venice Santa Lucia railway station for your onward first-class train to Florence, the fastest and most convenient way to travel around Italy.

We want to make sure our Comfort and Deluxe travellers get the best value for their money, so we have not included a private transfer in Florence. We suggest taking a local taxi that is safe, secure and saves you money for your holiday.

Day 5

Florence & Pisa Highlights

This morning, embark on a walking tour of Florence led by an English-speaking private guide to see the city’s most famous landmarks up close.

The tour will start at the Duomo—Brunelleschi’s famous Dome, once the largest brick dome in the world, it remains one of the city’s most beautiful achievements. Then visit Palazzo Della Signoria—a fascinating political centre with its secularist seat of power—Palazzo Vecchio, and Piazza Della Repubblica—one of Florence’s oldest squares, surrounded today by historic cultural cafés where young intellectual Florentines like to gather.

After lunch, head on the road with your English-speaking driver towards the town of Pisa for a photo opportunity at the medieval structure known as the Leaning Tower of Pisa or Torre Pendente di Pisa.

Day 6

Day at Leisure / Tuscany

A break from the journey is always an excellent opportunity to discover a new culture. We will provide you with suggestions for places to visit. Still, today is about exploring Italian life and culture at your own pace and learning where locals go shopping or visit several museums and art galleries that you have yet to have the chance to see so far.

Indulgence travellers will be collected by their private English-speaking driver for a locally guided tour of Tuscany’s Vineyards, tasting 11 different wines. Later, enjoy lunch before returning that afternoon.

Day 7

Florence - Rome

After breakfast, return back to Florence station to board your onward first-class train to Rome.

To ensure we provide the best possible value for Comfort and Deluxe travellers, we do not include an arrival transfer in Rome. Please make sure to speak to your local guide for recommendations for taxi services in Rome and clear instructions on getting from the train station to your hotel in Rome.

Day 8

Ancient Rome Tour

Today, you will take a walking tour of ancient Rome with your private English-speaking guide. Located within a short distance from all hotels, you will visit the Colosseum and Forum, two of the most famous buildings in Roman history. With direct access to these remarkable landmarks and no waiting in long lines, you will be awestruck even before entering. Once inside, your guide will bring to life the wild spectacle of gladiatorial combat, political debate, and daily life that once flourished within these walls.

Rome by Night

In the morning, explore Rome at your leisure. See the city of ruins and vestiges of a past civilisation, then get to know Rome more intimately by walking its alleys and admiring the many viewpoints over the ancient capital, or enjoy a day of shopping!

After dark, you’ll be picked up by your private English-speaking driver, who will delight you with stories and the history of Rome’s famous landmarks. Marvel at the incomparable beauty of the monuments by moonlight: this is a unique experience that our local supplier has reserved exclusively for Click and Trip travellers.

Deluxe and Indulgence travellers will enjoy a final dinner featuring the best Roman dishes made with the freshest ingredients.

Depart Italy

Enjoy some free time at leisure before being transferred by your English-speaking driver to the airport for your onward flight. Depending on your chosen airline, most flights will arrive in Australia the following morning.

Italy forms part of the Schengen Area. Australian passport holders are usually allowed to enter the Schengen Area for tourism or business purposes for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa. Passports must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended stay in the Schengen Area (six months validity is recommended). More information can be found through your Click and Trip online account.

Travellers should also be able to provide documentation confirming they have financial means to maintain themselves during their stay, travel insurance covering their period of stay, as well as tickets and entry documents for their onward destination. European hotels charge a city tax for a stay in each city that cannot be pre-paid and must be paid by the traveller upon check-in.

Tips and gratuities are not mandatory in Italy and, therefore, are not included in the Indulgence package or provided as part of a tipping guide.

Changes:

Airfare and itinerary changes can be made via your online account or the Emergency Contact Team. Changes after initial confirmation will incur a fee of $100 per booking in addition to travel service provider fees.

Cancellations:

● 55+ days before arrival, 25% cancellation charge of trip cost + the airline cancellation fees

● 54-35 days before arrival, 60% cancellation charge of trip cost + the airline cancellation fees

● 34 or less days before arrival, 100% cancellation charge

Unfortunately, we don’t offer fully customised trips; however, if there is a minor amendment to what is provided, please contact us for options we may be able to assist with. We do provide a self-booking system with a range of trip itineraries, inclusions, and standards to best suit your needs. Absolutely! You’ll still receive the same inclusions as a couple, family, or small group, plus private local guides and drivers. Our suppliers always provide a safe travel environment regardless of group preference. Please note our all-inclusive pricing for accommodation, transportation, and guides is charged per travel group. Solo travellers are charged a single supplement fee.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade highly recommends travel insurance for all overseas travellers. Click and Trip supports this recommendation and provides information on available policies, how to buy as well as other pointers.

Travel insurance protects against unforeseen events that could prevent you from travelling. Please don’t delay! We encourage travellers to book a policy after receiving their personalised documents. Travel insurance is normally covered from the day of purchase. In other words, you’ll be protected from incidents prior to departure, depending on your coverage.

At a minimum, your travel insurance should cover cancellation, medical and repatriation expenses. It should also include personal injury and accident, death, loss of personal baggage and money, as well as personal liability insurance.

Credit card companies and reciprocal medical coverage agreements do not always include comprehensive insurance. To learn more, talk to a recommended travel insurance provider or read our terms and conditions.

Our website was designed to be as user-friendly and automated as possible. Everything you need is easily accessible online, from en-route enquiries to booking terms and conditions. If you prefer to speak with someone, we have a call centre that can assist with any enquiries you may have about our trips or services. They can be reached on 1300 833 149. What’s more, our chat service is monitored daily, and we provide a WhatsApp number for existing bookings departing within 48 hours. Please note that we cannot take payments over the phone. Absolutely. Please indicate any special requests like bedding, dietary, or medical requirements on the confirmation page. We’ll do our best to accommodate your needs. Some airlines require advanced notification of dietary requirements, while other hotels limit capacity for rooms or suites. Please note that we cannot meet every request though we’ll do our best to make a memorable trip.

Majority of Venice water Taxis and Streets are not wheelchair accessible, which precludes wheelchair users and very limited-mobility travellers. Please get in touch before booking to check your exact mobility requirements. Travellers should be reasonably fit to participate in all our trips. As always, please consult your doctor for all health enquiries before booking.

“From prices” are the best prices available within a calendar year; they’re generally based on two people sharing a room in the low season. Prices may be subjected to additional fees. For example, high-season travel, solo travel or larger group/room size may exceed the “from price.” International flight pricing depends on your airline choice, date, and routing.

Once payment is authorised, you’ll receive an email receipt and account activation. You can view your booking on your account by clicking on the man icon in the top right corner of any Click and Trip page. My Account lets you make additional selections like booking seats on flights. You can also check visas, vaccinations, airport lounge passes or view travel checklists. Personalised travel documents are available for download 3–6 days after making your booking.
