When to visit Sri Lanka?

Sri Lanka’s year-round weather makes it a great destination, but its weather conditions can be complicated. The best time to explore the west and south shores is between December and April. This is also peak season, so anticipate higher rates and large crowds. At the same time, the climate on the east coast is at its finest from May through October.

The monsoon or low season in Sri Lanka lasts from May to August, with the major tourist sites being submerged in rain until July. Couples wanting to include The Maldives should visit between February and April to enjoy the magnificent Atoll islands.
