World-famous monuments, ancient art, and diverse cuisine.

India, one of the world’s oldest civilisations, is a fusion of multicultural experiences. The country is one of the most famous holiday destinations in the world, thanks to its grand forts, majestic palaces, beautiful sandy beaches, hill resorts, wildlife reserves, outdoor adventures, and much more.

Explore the 11th century Qutb Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage monument and the Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi. Travel to Agra to see the spellbinding Taj Mahal, considered one of the World’s New Seven Wonders. Then embark on a safari through Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan, home to tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and other wildlife. Visit Jaipur’s Amber Fort and Bharatpur to see a large variety of birds from around the world; all this and more are in our Essentials itinerary.

Explore the wild beauty of Rajasthan by visiting Pushkar, a town on a sacred lake, to see its only Brahma Temple and Mehrangarh Fort. Travel to the blue city of Jodhpur—a gateway to the Thar desert—and then head to Udaipur, where you can wander through local bazaars and view temples, gardens, and palaces in our Explorer itinerary.

To add some spice to your journey, explore Varanasi, the holiest site for Hindus and then head off to Cochin in South India to see the Munnar Tea Gardens and the stunning natural beauty of Kumarakom on an adventurous houseboat cruise in our Adventurer itinerary.

When to visit India?

When visiting India, the months between November and March are the best time to travel due to the cool and dry season. Delhi, Agra, and Rajasthan are best discovered this time of year while the weather in Goa and central India remains pleasant.

The hot, humid months of May and June are best avoided if you’re visiting southern India. In these months, the weather can become unbearable, and you won’t be able to enjoy much of what Goa has to offer. If you can visit in January through March, you’ll find that it’s still warm enough to swim but not uncomfortably hot. If you want to see the tremendous Indian Holi festival, head there in early March.
