From the pristine beaches to urban attractions, from superb wildlife viewing to bucket list safaris, South Africa offers a country of incredible diversity, exploration, and serenity.

The country’s people are warm and friendly, its towns vibrant, and its infrastructure outstanding, making it one of the world’s most famous safari destinations.

Travel north to the grandeur of Johannesburg and Pretoria in South Africa, then head on safari in Kruger National Park to spot the Big 5. Cross the border into Zimbabwe and visit Victoria Falls, all included in our Essentials itinerary. The Explorer itinerary is for you if you want to discover Cape Town with its excellent wine and beautiful scenery. Our Adventurer itinerary is for those who want it all and includes the same as the Essentials, but with the added extras of spotting penguins at Penguin Beach and southern right whales in Hermanus along the famous garden route.

When to visit South Africa?

South Africa is an all-year-round destination with various regional temperatures and wildlife attractions. The best time to visit South Africa depends on your goals, but the months with the best weather are April to May and September to October, when conditions are pleasant and great for outdoor adventure.

During the peak season, which runs from November to March, expect to see a lot of visitors. As this is the holiday time in South Africa, safaris and national parks will be very busy.
