Day 1

Welcome to the Maldives

Assalaamu alaikum, and welcome to the Maldives — where turquoise waters, soft sands, and endless horizons await!

Upon arrival at Velana International Airport, you’ll be met for a seamless transfer to your resort — either by speedboat or on a breathtaking scenic seaplane ride. As your island sanctuary comes into view, a collection of thatched villas floating over crystal-clear waters, the excitement builds.

Check into your private Overwater Jacuzzi Villa, complete with a sun deck, direct lagoon access, and a bubbling jacuzzi overlooking the ocean. Spend the rest of the day your way — perhaps dive straight into the warm sea, or simply relax as the sunset wraps you in golden light from your terrace.

Day 2

Island Days – Swim, Sip or Simply Be

Wake to gentle waves and sea birds calling in the distance. Today is yours to shape as you please — and your chosen resort sets the tone.

  • Comfort guests at Meeru Island can explore the reef with snorkel and fins, try paddleboarding, unwind in the spa, or learn about local heritage at the island’s museum. There’s even a family-friendly kids’ club available.

  • Deluxe travellers at OBLU SELECT Sangeli enjoy refined freedom with a curated all-inclusive plan that includes fine dining, unlimited beverages, non-motorised water sports, and vibrant beach bars framed by palm trees.

  • Indulgence guests at Hurawalhi Island Resort experience next-level luxury — perhaps lunch beneath the sea at 5.8 Undersea Restaurant, a massage in an overwater spa suite, or a private photography session on a sandbank.

No matter your style, today’s tempo is set by your own rhythm.

Day 3

Hanifaru Bay – Dance with Giants (Seasonal: May–Nov)

If your journey falls between May and November, prepare for one of the most awe-inspiring experiences in the natural world.

Board a boat and head toward Hanifaru Bay, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve famed for hosting the largest seasonal gathering of manta rays and whale sharks. Glide across the surface as these majestic creatures circle below — some just metres away — in a mesmerising, synchronised dance. It’s raw, unfiltered nature at its finest, and a defining moment of your Maldives Overwater Escape.

Maldives Small Island

Day 4

Castaway Bliss – Your Own Island for the Day

Today brings a memory you’ll treasure forever. Set sail to a deserted sandbank or private islet, where white sands, turquoise waters, and complete seclusion await.

Enjoy a gourmet picnic in the shade of a beach umbrella, snorkel in crystal-clear shallows, or simply lie back and watch clouds drift by. With no one else around, it’s easy to believe the island was made just for you.

Later, return to your villa for a soak in the jacuzzi or sundowners on the deck — because in the Maldives, even your return feels like a reward.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Included

Day 5

Sunset Cruise & Island Indulgence

Ease into your final full day with a fresh tropical breakfast and barefoot wanderings along the shore. Then, in the late afternoon, step aboard a traditional dhoni boat or modern cruiser for a front-row seat to the most spectacular show: sunset over the Indian Ocean.

As the sky melts into shades of rose, tangerine and violet, sip a glass of wine or fresh coconut and let the breeze carry your thoughts far away. Back at your resort, savour one last candlelit dinner on the beach — toes in the sand, stars overhead, and the soft hush of waves nearby.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Included

Maldives Seaplane

Day 6

Farewell, Maldives – Until Next Time

Enjoy a slow breakfast with your feet dangling in the lagoon one last time. Whether you choose a final swim or a peaceful morning on your deck, your Maldives Overwater Escape draws to a close with a heart full of memories.

Your speedboat or seaplane transfer returns you to the airport in time for your onward flight. But this isn’t goodbye — just the beginning of a love affair with the Maldives.

What Our Travellers Say

Your Questions Answered

This isn’t your average flop-and-drop island break. Yes, you’ll have plenty of time to laze under palms and sip cocktails by the sea — but this journey also invites you to snorkel vibrant coral reefs, cruise at sunset, visit UNESCO-protected Hanifaru Bay (in season), and picnic on a deserted sandbank. It’s indulgent, intimate, and surprisingly enriching.

That depends on your style. We work with a curated collection of island resorts, each known for its overwater villas, exceptional service, and natural beauty. You might find yourself at Meeru Island (Comfort), OBLU SELECT Sangeli (Deluxe), or Hurawalhi Island Resort (Indulgence) — each handpicked for its own kind of magic.

Think of them as three beautiful versions of paradise. Comfort offers casual barefoot luxury and great value; Deluxe wraps everything into a premium all-inclusive plan; and Indulgence is all-out elegance — champagne breakfasts, underwater restaurants, spa suites, and more. All three include private overwater villas, and all feel wonderfully secluded.

Absolutely — and the Maldives is one of the best places on Earth to start. Calm lagoons, clear waters, and shallow reefs mean you don’t need to be a strong swimmer to enjoy the marine life. We can even arrange a beginner-friendly guide or floatation aids to help you ease in gently.

While the Maldives is best known for its marine beauty, you’ll also find island culture in subtle, meaningful ways: local cuisine, traditional music, historical artefacts (such as at Meeru Island’s museum), and the warm Maldivian hospitality that shines through in every smile. This escape celebrates both people and place.

The Maldives is a year-round destination, with warm tropical temperatures always on the menu. That said, the best weather tends to fall between December and April. If you’re hoping to swim with manta rays and whale sharks at Hanifaru Bay, plan between May and November — occasional rain, but unforgettable marine life.

You’ll fly into Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé, the Maldives’ capital. Popular airlines from Australia include Singapore Airlines, Qantas (via codeshare), SriLankan Airlines, Emirates, and Qatar Airways. We don’t include international flights in the package, so you’re free to use points, upgrade to business, or add a stopover if you wish.

This journey works beautifully for both. Solo travellers enjoy the serenity of having an overwater villa all to themselves, plus the safety and support of our trusted local partners. Couples love the privacy, romance, and space to reconnect. Whether you’re honeymooning or flying solo, this escape adapts to your pace.

It’s perfect. Overwater villas, island picnics, sunset cruises and private dining under the stars — if you’re celebrating a honeymoon, anniversary or milestone, we’ll help make it extra special with thoughtful touches and upgrade options. Just let us know what you’re marking, and we’ll help you honour it.
