Once landed, your English-speaking local representative will meet you before immigration to help with the procedures. Once your luggage is collected, and you have passed customs, you will be introduced to your English-speaking driver, who will chauffeur you to your hotel.

Once checked in, the remaining day is at your leisure.

Day 2

Amman Highlights

This morning begins with breakfast at your hotel before setting off to the eastern side of Jordan with your private English-speaking guide. First, stop at the Qasr Al Azraq Desert Castle, surrounded by a waterless desert and strategically positioned close to the only water source in more than 12,000 square kilometres. Its unique architecture and decor will leave you spellbound as you wander through rooms that housed early Islamic artisans that built it in 742 AD. Continue to Qusayr Amra, an ancient castle built in its stone towers and walls between 766 and 774 AD. The castle is known for its excellently preserved frescos of hunting scenes, dancing maidens, and bathing scenes; and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Finally, head on to what remains today of its Roman ruins (Qasr Al Kharanah), from which it was constructed 700 years ago.

After returning to the city, take a tour of Citadel Hill. This site is on a plateau above the modern town, with remains from the Roman to the early Islamic period, as well as a small Archaeological Museum. Admire the theatre from the 2nd century AD with its 6,000 seats before strolling along the vibrant Souq with its different shops and stalls. Finish off your day with a stop on Rainbow Street, where you’ll see charming buildings from the early 20th century, cafés, and restaurants.

Breakfast included

Day 3

Amman - Petra

This morning make sure to grab your camera and prepare to take in panoramic views of the rugged Judean Mountains as you drive downhill from Mt. Nebo toward Jerash with your private English-speaking driver guide. Take on the capital city of Madaba for a visit to St George’s Church, home of the oldest surviving Christian mosaic map of Jerusalem, before travelling along the famous ancient caravan route of the King’s Way for a short photo stop in Wadi Al-Mujib, a great wide valley with magnificent geological formation, identical with the Arnon River of the Hebrew Bible.

Then, receive an introduction to the Crusader castle Kerak for an exploration of the underground passageways. Here, you can enjoy the view and imagine how the forces of Salah ad-Din besieged this stronghold several times. Next, drive two hours in your comfortable private vehicle towards Petra to check in to your hotel for the night.

Day 4

Petra

Welcome to Petra! The highlight of Jordan, the Red Rose city.

This morning can start as early as 6 am, including a breakfast box from the hotel and the opportunity to be one of the first visitors to view a world wonder. Meet your local private English-speaking guide and pass the narrow canyon, the so-called Siq, with its colourful sandstone. In the end, you will be rewarded with a view of the most beautiful monument, the Treasury, before continuing via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh’s Castle.

At this point, you may return with your guide, where the rest of the day is at your leisure; or for the young at heart, you can continue unguided along the challenging 800 stair path through the canyon to reach the Monastery El Deir (Approx 1.5-2 hour round trip – optional). Arguably one of the most iconic monuments in Petra, The Monastery El Deir is an ancient marvel and is absolutely worth the climb to all who are able.

Indulgence travellers will travel through the narrow canyon and onto the Treasury by electric golf cart.

Monastery, Petra
Day 5

Wadi Rum

Today, venture into Jordan’s largest wadi, Wadi Rum. Inhabited since prehistoric times, uncover more of the vast area with a local Bedouin driver in a 4×4. The rugged landscape, the changing colours of sand and mountains, and the serene atmosphere will make you understand why Wadi Rum is one of the most impressive desert landscapes in the world, and a popular setting for many Hollywood movies. With canyons, red dunes, Nabatean rock inscriptions, and a natural rock bridge formed over centuries, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Check into your luxury desert campsite, where dinner and the desert night await you.

Depending on your chosen standard, Deluxe and Indulgence travellers will have a private dining experience under the starry night sky of the Wadi Rum.

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is given to descend into this canyon and follow the water stream to a waterfall. The area may have natural pools for a swim or cool-off. After changing into a dry pair of clothes and shoes, continue your journey to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea. Check-in at your hotel, where the remaining day is at your leisure.

Day 7

Day at leisure

Located 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth, and has been known for its healing properties since the days of Herod the Great. The air is exceptionally oxygen-rich, with high annual temperatures, low humidity, and high atmospheric pressure. Dead Sea water possesses anti-inflammatory properties with the highest content of minerals and salts worldwide, so today is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a therapeutic dark mud and floating experience.

Our suppliers always provide a safe travel environment regardless of group preference. Please note our all-inclusive pricing for accommodation, transportation, and guides is charged per travel group. Solo travellers are charged a single supplement fee.

Our local suppliers require travellers to hold proper personal medical insurance. For any travellers that do not have insurance and refuse to sign the waiver before the departure date, the supplier reserves the right not to proceed with the trip, and travellers will adhere to the cancellation charges mentioned above. By choosing this trip, you acknowledge your acceptance of the above terms and conditions.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade highly recommends travel insurance for all overseas travellers. Click and Trip supports this recommendation and provides information on available policies, how to buy as well as other pointers.

Travel insurance protects against unforeseen events that could prevent you from travelling. Please don’t delay! We encourage travellers to book a policy after receiving their personalised documents. Travel insurance is normally covered from the day of purchase. In other words, you’ll be protected from incidents prior to departure, depending on your coverage.

At a minimum, your travel insurance should cover cancellation, medical and repatriation expenses. It should also include personal injury and accident, death, loss of personal baggage and money, as well as personal liability insurance.

Credit card companies and reciprocal medical coverage agreements do not always include comprehensive insurance. To learn more, talk to a recommended travel insurance provider or read our terms and conditions.

Our website was designed to be as user-friendly and automated as possible. Everything you need is easily accessible online, from en-route enquiries to booking terms and conditions. If you prefer to speak with someone, we have a call centre that can assist with any enquiries you may have about our trips or services. They can be reached on 1300 833 149. What’s more, our chat service is monitored daily, and we provide a WhatsApp number for existing bookings departing within 48 hours. Please note that we cannot take payments over the phone. Check out our Contact Us page to learn more.

Absolutely. Please indicate any special requests like bedding, dietary, or medical requirements on the confirmation page. We’ll do our best to accommodate your needs. Some airlines require advanced notification of dietary requirements, while other hotels limit capacity for rooms or suites. Please note that we cannot meet every request though we’ll do our best to make a memorable trip.

Some of the sights in Wadi Rum and the desert, as well as those in Petra Monastery, are not wheelchair accessible, which means that wheelchair users can’t reach them. Therefore, if you are traveling with a wheelchair or have limited mobility, this trip might not be suitable for you. The Monastery (included in the pricing, however optional to trek) in Petra requires a steep hour-long climb up, so please be in good health before booking to check your exact mobility requirements. Please consult your doctor for all health enquiries before booking.

“From prices” are the best prices available within a calendar year; they’re generally based on two people sharing a room in the low season. Prices may be subjected to additional fees. For example, high-season travel, solo travel or larger group/room size may exceed the “from price.” International flight pricing depends on your airline choice, date, and routing.

Once payment is authorised, you’ll receive an email receipt and account activation. You can view your booking on your account by clicking on the man icon in the top right corner of any Click and Trip page. My Account lets you make additional selections like booking seats on flights.
